Rethinking "Alternative"
Most specialists listed here fall under the category of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) practitioners, as defined by Britannica.
However, this categorization brings to mind a paradox once mentioned by Billie Eilish: "No one is illegal on stolen land."
How can we truly call a therapy "alternative" when it has served humanity for hundreds, even thousands of years before "traditional" modern medicine (which, of course, didn't just appear out of thin air)?
"How can we call a therapy alternative, if it served people for thousands of years before traditional medicine?"
Our Main Intention
The main intention of this directory is the personal development and growth of everyone who visits. That is why clients, therapists, tutors, schools, and organizers of events like the Functional Medicine Conference are all equally welcome here.
